After School Care Staff
Davidson Day School is a diverse independent school that fosters academic excellence through collaboration, creativity, and character development. Each student is offered an active, challenging learning environment through our broad array of programs. We have approximately 520 students from 2-year-olds through 12th grade and are located in Davidson, North Carolina.
Davidson Day School is seeking part-time hourly After-School Care Staff to join its team. This position is non-exempt and reports to the After Care Coordinator.
The After School Care program operates from 2:30 PM until 5:30 PM Monday through Friday. The ideal individual would be available and willing to commit to a minimum of 3 afternoons per week. The pay rate is $15.25 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with children during play time (indoor and outside), snack time, and homework (as applicable).
- Maintain a professional and friendly rapport with parents.
- Promptly share any issues with the After Care Coordinator.
- Perform all other duties appropriate to employment as determined by the After Care Coordinator, Head of Lower School, and Head of School.
- Comply with all rules and regulations established as school policy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with young children, preferably in a classroom or group setting of 7 or more students.
- Ability to communicate and interact professionally with faculty, students, and parents.
- Ability to provide own transportation to and from campus.
