DDS girls get home win vs. 3A power Rabun Gap

The DDS girls basketball team used some stingy half court man-to-man defense and overcame a poor shooting game to defeat 3A 2015 state finalist Rabun Gap-Ga. 37-32 in Yates gym. Parker Tompkins led the scoring with 11 including 7 in the 4th quarter.  Maya Caldwell expended a lot of energy in holding Rabin Gap's leading scorer to no field goals during the game and added 10 pts. on offense.  The Lady Patriots are 5-1 on the year.  The girls are back on the road to face 2A state finalist Northside Christian Academy on Monday night.
