DDS defeats defending 2A State Champ Carolina Day

The girls showed a lot of heart playing without Sr. guard Alexas Bradford on the road at defending 2A State Champ Carolina Day School.  Everyone contributed in the win.  Parker Tompkins led the team with 24 points, Maya Caldwell added 17 and played stellar defense on Western Carolina commit Tess Harris holding her to 5 points.  Courtney Meadows scored 10 points including 4-4 from the free throw line late in the game.  Courtney also found open teammates for easy baskets in one of her best all around games of the year.  The girls are now 9-1 on the year.
