Davidson Day is a group of families partnering with teachers and administrators to provide the best education for our children. Our support makes the difference in helping the school fulfill its mission.

  • What is the Davidson Day Fund?

    The Davidson Day Fund provides a way for parents and others to give unrestricted dollars to enhance the school’s budget and support the students and teachers in a tax-deductible way.
  • Who gives to the Davidson Day Fund?

    Parents are the largest group contributing to the Davidson Day Fund – it’s our school, and this is how we show our support for our children and each other. Additionally, many grandparents, alumni, parents of alumni, corporations, foundations, and friends of Davidson Day give generously.
  • What are donations to the Davidson Day Fund used for?

    Davidson Day Fund monies are essential to our operating budget. Your donations make things like professional development for faculty and staff, additional academic resources, technology upgrades and improvements, and extra support for specials like music, arts, foreign language, athletics and more possible. 
  • How are gifts made to the Davidson Day Fund?

    Gifts can be made by cash, check, credit card, or stock transfer. They can be mailed to the Office of Philanthropy at the school, telephoned in, or completed online via the school’s web site. Questions or requests for instructions regarding stock transfers should be directed to Charmaine Comerford, Assistant Director of Philanthropy.
  • What is an appropriate giving amount or level?

    Each family’s circumstances are different, and their appropriate level of giving depends on their financial situation. We ask that you participate at the highest amount or level you feel is feasible. If you are able, please consider a gift at one of the Leadership Levels (starting at $2,500 and going up to $15,000+).

    Most importantly, we ask you to participate. Every gift matters, regardless of amount, and makes a difference.
  • What are the Davidson Day Fund goals this year?

    • Participation – 100% parent participation
    • Financial - $430,000
  • What do I get by supporting the Davidson Day Fund?

    Principally, you enhance the superior education your child(ren) receives at one of the finest schools in the nation. Also, Davidson Day’s nonprofit status allows you to receive a tax deduction for your contribution. It is an actual win-win situation – you’re able to help all the students at Davidson Day while simultaneously receiving a tax benefit!
  • When can I donate to the Davidson Day Fund?

    Gifts for the current school year are accepted from July 1 to June 30. Ideally, donors make their gift or pledge during the Davidson Day Fund Campaign - this year from Oct. 9 - Jan. 17. All pledges are due by June 30.
  • Why is 100% parent participation so important?

    Davidson Day is our school. We want the best education possible for our children. That means we all have to work together to provide the resources they need to succeed. 100% parent participation shows that, as a group, we believe in the mission of the school and are committed to its excellence.
  • Can my gift be matched by my company?

    Yes! Many companies will match employee contributions to Davidson Day. Inquire through your company’s Human Resources office for instructions.
