DDS loses in state finals to CDS 43-34

The DDS girls basketball team lost in the championship game of the NCISAA 2A state tournament to Carolina Day School 43-34.  The team committed 20 turnovers and failed to have a player crack the double figure scoring column for the first time this year.  Maya Caldwell, Parker Tompkins and Anika Riley all had 8 pts.  The season comes to an end with a 27-3 record including another undefeated PACIS conference record and championship.  The team will look to make another run next year as Alexas Bradford is the only senior on the team.  The team would like to thank Alexas for her contributions to the team over her great career including eclipsing the 1000 pts. mark this year.
